A tribute to the prestigious activity and the refined conception of chamber music in Trieste.
Samer & Co. Shipping has long supported the Trieste Chamber Music Association (ACM). The support of the company originates from the Samer family who have always been a lover of musical art.
The Chamber Music Association (ACM) was founded in Duino (Trieste) with a notary certification on the 14th November, 1995. The certification confirmed the existence of a group of five people gathered to create an operational entity which, with the organization of musical events, would be committed to spreding the name over time and paying homage to the prestigious activity and refined chamber music conception of the Trieste Trio. The music events immediately resulted in the birth of an INTERNATIONAL COMPETITION FOR CHAMBER ENSEMBLES “TRIO DI TRIESTE AWARD” in Trieste.
The ACM began after to promote an increasingly widespread concert season that has currently no less than 15 concerts per year, to which is added a concert activity in Udine, Gorizia and Trieste.
The founding group was composed by professors: Benedetto de Bernard (President), Tullio Corzani (Vice President), Fedra Florit (General Secretary and Treasurer), Vittorio Giammusso and Mario Pine. Prof. Fedra Florit, pianist, student of the Trieste Trio, publicist, music critic and chamber music teacher at the Trieste Conservatory is the current Artistic Director of the Association.
