TRIESTE AT THE HIGHEST LEVELS OF THE ITALIAN WATER POLO.

Pallanuoto Trieste was founded on the 1st September 2003 by merging the waterpolo sections of two historic companies: Edera (founded in 1904) and Triestina Nuoto (founded in 1918).

From the outset, Enrico Samer was appointed Chairman of the board, together with Oliviero Fragiacomo, Giuseppe Giustolisi, Lorenzo Colautti, Livio Ungaro, and Renzo Colautti. Among the founding members of Pallanuoto Trieste we also have many other representatives of great importance within the city sport.

A story of important successes immediately begins, which, thanks to the company teamwork, the enthusiasm and the support of the city, the strong local water polo tradition, quickly brings Trieste back to the highest national championships at male and female A1 categories.

Alongside excellence, there is the development of youth activities: Pallanuoto Trieste has teams that play in all youth categories, from under 11 to Promotion. The company also manages the swimming pool of San Giovanni and has developed both the school and the competitive activity of the swimming section.
