'Trieste Campus' is the project financing for the upgrading of the 'Cittadella dello Sport' (sports city) in downtown Trieste. A place dedicated to young people, where they can cultivate a passion for sport, grow together as athletes and develop their talents.
Trieste Campus (TSC) proposes the recovery of a disused public area. The promoters of the Project Financing are two historical entrepreneurial realities, including Samer & Co. Shipping SpA, four sports associations and a non-profit organisation that is committed to integrating and including young people with disabilities.
The area is located in a building realized in the mid-1980s and owned by the Municipality of Trieste: the areas involved in the project have a total surface area of 4350 square metres of indoor and outdoor space.
The project is integrated in a neighbourhood that has other sports infrastructures and is densely populated, close to a large school and the business centre of Passeggio Sant'Andrea.
