We are General Agent for DFDS and Ulusoy Sealines and have been managing a flagship example of multimodality since 1987, connecting Europe and Türkiye via the Customs Free Port of Trieste, through sea, road, rail and air freights.
These Ro-Ro lines daily cover the whole Turkish country, calling the ports of Pendik and Yalova in the Istanbul area, Çeşme on the Aegean Sea and Mersin on the Southern coast. On the Istanbul lines additional ports can be reached through the stopovers in Patras, Greece, and Bari in Southern Italy.
Accepted cargoes are mainly semi-trailers, trucks, 45'HC containers, tank containers, new vehicles, but also heavy lifts fitting onboard.
Every night, direct flights connect Türkiye and Europe to serve these lines, carrying truck drivers requiring to reach the port where their cargoes will be discharged the following day, ready to be collected.
Central and Northern Europe are connected to the Ro-Ro terminals in Trieste by numerous - ever expanding - rail services, an option that keeps decreasing the carbon footprint on these routes as against its direct competitor for truckers, the road.
