Spreading the values of sports is a consistent commitment.
The National Association of Olympians and Azzurri d'Italia brings together all the medalists at national and international level who have brought the name of Trieste to the podium. The association was founded in 1948 by 18 athletes who had participated in the London Olympic Games and it is now an institution recognized by CONI, the Italian Olympic Committe.

Within the Association, a special mention is to Marcella Skabar, champion and gymnastics athlete of Trieste, who was president of the association for thirty-two years, from 1987 to 2019, while significantly contributing to its visibility and growth, and to Matteo Bartoli, Italian Boat Racing Champion and important testimonial of Trieste also for his experience at the managerial level.

A special mention is to Marcella Skabar, who in 1987 while coordinating the columns "Obiettivo Sport" and "Servizio dello Sport" with Teleantenna, broadcast for 4 years in a row, contributed so much to the television visibility of the Azzurri that, in a short time, the Association jumped from 70 members to 400.

The association aims at promoting amateur and professional sports, also supported by Samer & Co. Shipping, encouraging that at all ages, especially for young people, and spreading the values of sports thanks to its members, who are the most prominent ambassadors.
