Samer & Co. Shipping is one of the businesses engaged in the promotion and dissemination of the Charter of Human Duties, a code of ethics and shared responsibility on safeguarding human dignity, protecting the environment and maintaining peace among peoples.
The Trieste Declaration represents the project to complete the Charter of Human Rights and commits people, institutions and manufacturing companies to respect people and the environment. It was concieved by the International Council of Human Duties (ICHD), the association issued the charter together with the University of Trieste in 1993.
The Charter of Human Duties was born from an idea by Professor Roger Sperry, and was greatly supported by the Nobel Prize Rita Levi-Montalcini and endorsed over time by several, distinguished academics and Nobel Laureates.
