A busy day at the port for the cruise ship

On 15 July, the Port of Trieste welcomed M/V Scarlet Lady for the first time, with our Ship Agency acting as the vessel's port agent. Part of the Virgin Voyages fleet, the vessel was chartered for a themed cruise.

Built at the Fincantieri shipyard in Sestri Ponente and delivered in 2020, Scarlet Lady is 278 metres long, with a height ranging between 55 and 60 metres.

The call generated significant passenger and crew movements, with around 5,000 passengers embarking and disembarking during the day, supported by approximately 1,140 crew members. The vessel arrived from Zadar and was bound for Split as part of a weekly itinerary that started in Greece, called at Trieste and continued on to Barcelona.

A short ceremony was held during the call, attended by representatives of the Port Authority of the Eastern Adriatic Sea, the Trieste Customs Authority, Trieste Marine Terminal and port service providers, including pilots and mooring teams.

Our Ship Agency Department, led by Lilli Samer, was on hand throughout the call to support the crew during the courtesy visit and assist with the standard port formalities.

Scarlet Lady arrived in the early morning and departed as scheduled at 6:00 p.m.
