From theory to practice: the Europe–Türkiye Motorway of the Sea presented in an MBA classroom.
On March 13th, Rita Gollino and Giovanni Panasiti represented Samer & Co. Shipping at the MIB Trieste School of Management, where they were invited to deliver a guest lecture to the current MBA class.
Both MIB alumni, they shared their professional experience, providing a practical overview of the logistics and shipping industry. The lecture focused on the Samer Group’s activities and the Europe–Türkiye Motorway of the Sea model, with particular attention to the Trieste–Türkiye connection and the recent development of the Damietta line.
The case study highlighted the importance of integrated logistics solutions and strategic partnerships in developing intermodal transport in the Mediterranean, also underlining the Group’s role in selecting Trieste as the Italian hub and in establishing MedRoll in response to evolving market needs.
The initiative further strengthens the long-standing relationship between Samer & Co. Shipping and MIB, also reinforced by Enrico Samer’s position on the school’s Board and the company’s support for international students in their academic journey.
