The first cement vessel calls at Seadock

Seadock has welcomed the first Medcem vessel, marking the official launch of a new industrial operation along Trieste’s industrial canal. Medcem is a leading Turkish cement producer and part of the Eren Group.

The project is the result of a strategic partnership that enabled the reactivation of Seadock’s silos, which had been out of service for nearly ten years and have now been fully refurbished. The facilities will support cement storage and truck distribution across Europe, with an expected annual throughput of up to 120,000 tonnes.

The call of M/V Angelo and the related discharging operations involved several Samer Group companies, confirming Seadock’s role as an integrated logistics hub and a key gateway for new industrial traffic. At least 15 vessel calls are planned for the first year.
