Samer & Co. Sposored the 9th edition of OberMUN
From April 4th to 6th, Trieste hosted the 9th edition of OberMUN, a Model United Nations conference bringing together hundreds of high school students from across Europe every year. Organized by Liceo Scientifico G. Oberdan, the event focused on ‘Diplomacy: Our Path to Peace’, offering a valuable forum for international dialogue and youth engagement.
Samer & Co. Shipping, a proud sponsor of the event since 2018, was represented by, its Corporate Development Manager, Rita Gollino, who delivered a keynote speech during the opening ceremony. She emphasized the power of diplomacy as a daily practice for peacebuilding, rooted in empathy, mediation, and open dialogue.
Quoting Pope Francis and the Treccani definition of diplomacy, Rita urged the young delegates to become ‘agents of peace’, committed to shared responsibility and mutual understanding in a world facing growing global tensions.
