We have arranged the handling and shipping of two outsized electric transformers
We were part of the operational team that handled the OOG shipment of two electric transformers, 5-meter long, weighing 92 tons each and reaching the maximum power of 65-megavolt ampere (MVA).
The cargo was first moved by road from the manufacturing plant in Agate Brianza to the Multiservice Terminal in the port of Marghera by an exceptional convoy. There, the transformers have been placed alongside the vessel and loaded with the ship's cranes onboard the Dutch general cargo vessel Eemslift Hendrika.
The transformers and the additional equipment (12 heavy radiators ranging in weight from 3 to 4 tons) sailed to the port of Rotterdam, where they will be installed in a power plant.
The ocean shipment was completed by an additional exceptional transport by road, which reached the Netherlands with six standard-sized trucks.
